Process Stages

Dinsmore’s current fabric processing facilities, within our 2 factories in Kells and Meltham, contain a wide range of options in terms of blends of fabrics, treatments and widths. Distinct process routings are defined for each product/order to achieve the requirements of each customer and order. Our process stages are outlined below.

Stock management providing complete traceability of incoming fabric, work in progress and finished stock.

To commence production, Fabric is stitched or batched in preparation for processing in line with factory order schedule.

Pre-treatment of fabric in preparation for dyeing

Pre-wash of fabric to remove impurities prior to dyeing

Process of adding colour to fabrics to meet customer shade specification

—

Specific process after dyeing to improve the look, performance and handle of the finished textile.

Finished fabric inspected against required customer specification, rolled ready for despatch.
